Alfred Hamilton is currently serving as the CEO/President of Technology Solutions Consulting, LLC. His primary responsibility is leading the day-to-day operations. He is responsible for providing clients with honest, reliable, results-oriented performance and excellence.
Alfred recently served as Computer Task Group's (CTG) Vice President and General Manager for Health Solutions and Life Sciences. His primary responsibility is leading the day-to-day operations of the health solutions and life sciences practice. He provided critical input on the practice's strategic direction and be responsible for the group's financial performance.
Alfred joined CTG from the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University where he served as an Assistant Professor teaching in the Masters of Healthcare Administration and the Health Information Technology Graduate Certificate Program for over four years. His primary research focus and expertise is in health information technology and health informatics. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he served as the Senior Advisor to the Associate Provost for Military and Veterans Affairs with the responsibility of creating innovative approaches to creating academic programs that support the professional and personal requirements of the US Military, Veterans, and their families.
Alfred served over 20 years of honorable service with the U.S. Army Medical Department and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. While in the Army, he held challenging positions such as an advisor to senior military leaders at the U.S. Central Command Headquarters, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, Chief Information Officer, Director of Human Resources, and Operations Manager.
Alfred holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Augusta State University, Masters of Science Administration in Software Engineering from Central Michigan University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Information Decision Systems/Decision Science from The George Washington University. He received the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer Award, selected as a member of the most prestigious Military Medical Society; the Order of the Medical Military Merit, and attended the Nobel Peace Prize Week. His most recent accomplishments include being awarded the Health Information Management System Society Fellow status and a Commissioner with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education.
